This error appears when the Expenditures Period Start or End Date you entered falls outside the Award Period of Performance.
These fields are located in the Federal Awards tab of your Excel submission template.
To resolve the error:
Check the Period of Performance Start and End Dates for the affected award.
Confirm that your Expenditures Start and End Dates fall within that range.
Adjust the expenditures dates as needed to fit within the award's performance period.
Example:
If the award period is 10/1/2021 to 9/30/2023, your expenditures dates must fall somewhere within that range.
Accurate date ranges are required for system validation and proper reporting to federal agencies.
