Why does the system say my entity isn’t listed in SAM.gov?

The FAC system checks the UEI (Unique Entity Identifier) you enter against data from SAM.gov.

If you see the message that your entity isn’t listed, it usually means one of the following:

Common reasons:

• The UEI was entered incorrectly.

• Your entity is not currently active in SAM.gov.

• SAM.gov hasn’t finished processing a recent registration or update.

What to do:

1. Go to sam.gov and search for your entity by UEI.

2. Confirm the record is active and that the UEI matches exactly.

3. If your record is missing or pending, you may need to wait until SAM.gov updates.

Once your SAM.gov registration is active and accurate, the FAC system should recognize it automatically.
