The message “UEI: To Be Entered” appears as a fail-safe when the FAC system is unable to connect to the SAM.gov API to automatically verify the entity name associated with the UEI.
This does not mean the UEI is invalid.
What You Need to Do
When this message appears:
Continue to the General Information section.
Enter the entity name exactly as it appears in SAM.gov.
Save your changes.
Entering the entity name manually allows you to continue with the submission when automatic verification is unavailable.
